What:
Celebrate the Holidays early with Strangers with a fun co-ed 6s volleyball tournament! Proceeds support NY Strangers’ Youth Programs, empowering young athletes through sports and mentorship.
We are suggesting a holiday dress code (red, white, green, blue, or even ugly sweaters).
 
Format:
– Minimum 2 women on the court at all times.
– Maximum 8 players on a roster.
– BYOB (Bring You Own Ball)
– Net is set to Men’s height
Pool Play:
8 Co-Ed teams (2 Pools of 4 Teams)
– Rally Scoring
– 4 team pools (2 set of 21, cap 23)
– 5 minutes shared warm up & BYO Ball
– Schedules will be sent 12hrs in advance
** To keep games moving, for every 3 minutes of delay after the end of warm-ups, there will be a 5 point penalty applied. In cases of extended delays, your team will forfeit the set pending TD discretion. **
Playoffs:
1. Top 2 team from each pools make playoffs. (TBD by set won > head to head > point differential > overall points in pool > coin flip)
2. 1st in Pool 1 vs. 2nd in Pool 2 & 1st in Pool 2 vs. 2nd in Pool 1 (Semi-finals is Best of 3 to 21-21-15).
3. The last two standing teams will play for the championship spot (Finals is Best of 3 to 21-21-15).
** We may adjust playoff format depending on time. **

Prizes:

1st place: $500 Cash Prize (Final prize will be confirmed in the Captain’s Packet based on total teams.)
8 teams = $500
6 teams = $450
4 teams = $400
2nd place: NY Strangers Merch
Cost:
Initial Team Registration Fee: $250
Security Deposit: $50 (Please read Captain’s Packet for more information)
** Please provide full payment, $250, upon submitting your team to confirm your spot. In the case you would like to withdraw from the tournament, registration fees are fully refundable up to 3 weeks prior to the event. **
