We’re so excited to open registration for our 2026 Women’s Summer Tryouts! If you’ve been looking for a community to grow with, compete alongside, and call home — we’d love to meet you.
The New York Strangers are a 9-man volleyball club rooted in the Asian American community of New York City. To align with the playing rules of the 9-man community, participants must be of Chinese or Asian descent. Please review the eligibility guidelines on page 3 of the registration form before signing up.
First Tryout
📅 Sunday, April 5th, 2026

Second Tryout*
📅 Saturday, April 11th, 2026

*The second tryout is open to participants who are unable to attend the first date, as well as those selected to continue from the first tryout.
Summer Practice Schedule Once the team is formed, practices will be held one weekday evening and Sunday mornings, except on major holidays. We know everyone has professional commitments and life outside the gym — we get it. We just ask that you show up for each other as much as you can.
Tryout Fee $25, which includes a t-shirt. No exceptions.
